OFF CAMERA

Hi! My name is Edgars Hecmatyars, and I’m a photographer from Riga, Latvia. I shoot across Europe, wherever a good idea takes me.

I work in a few different directions: fashion editorials and magazine covers, beauty and makeup stories, portraits, and visuals for musicians and their new albums.

What I love most is building a whole world together with a team: staged characters, bold costumes and makeup, saturated colour and a playful, slightly surreal eye. I’m happiest on a set with real personality and people who aren’t afraid to get a little weird.
